LOCATION Norcross, GA, Marietta, GA, Charlotte, NC or Cincinnati, OH Summary: ATS is seeking a full-time Sales Support Consultant to fortify the sales team by focusing on expanding Consulting and Design services within the competitive commercial, industrial, and multifamily building sectors to enhance market presence. Job Description: Sales Support Consultant specializing in maintaining and enhancing relationships with our current building customer base. This role leverages technical knowledge and application expertise to design compelling proposals and influence the customer decision making process. They will champion our suite of façade access inspection and safety solutions, ensuring compliance with OSHA and industry standards while exploring avenues for upselling structural, lighting protection, and other ATS core services. This multifaceted role demands a blend of strategic thinking, technical prowess, and customer-centric engagement. Responsibilities: + Conduct thorough needs analysis and overall project scope assessment to ensure accurate, complete and compelling proposals are generated for each customer opportunity. + Collaborate with customers, sales team, and ATS Operations Managers to ensure proposed scope aligns with relevant codes and industry standards. + Communicate with the sales team to understand customer needs and provide technical support as required. + Participate in site walkthroughs or virtual client meetings with the ATS sales team to identify proposal opportunities and incorporate visuals such as graphics and photos to reinforce the company’s message in pertinent proposal sections. + Assess customer requirements and devise appropriate solutions. + Drive opportunity identification and relationship expansion by identifying upselling opportunities within our existing customer base, presenting value-added solutions that enhance safety and efficiency in Consulting and Design’s three core services. + Engage in discussions on pricing strategies with the sales team and clients as needed. + Conduct thorough research, compose and organize information in a professional and credible manner. + Utilize Microsoft Dynamics CRM system to document customer opportunities including all customer details, quote activities, and details of customer touch points. + Act as a Technical liaison, fostering strong relationships with clients and serving as their trusted advisor. + Maintain consistency in proposal writing by following company policies; revise proposals based on ATS Operations Manager’s feedback. + Prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines. + Understand other ATS business units to diversify Consulting and Design offerings. + Represent the company at BOMA / IFMA local and national trade shows and industry events alongside sales team and ATS Operations Managers, networking with key stakeholders and showcasing our capabilities. + Stay updated on the latest codes and industry standards pertaining to Consulting and Design’s suite of services. + Stay attuned to market trends and the competitive landscape and provide these valuable insights to our business leaders for comparison against our business strategy. Qualifications Requirements + Demonstrated expertise in all applicable technical domains + Exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written + Proven track record in selling sophisticated enterprise solutions. + Proficiency in computer operations and organizational prowess combined with keen attention to detail. + Consistently meet deadlines with precision and reliability. + Excel in strategic planning, exhibiting high motivation to deliver exceptional outcomes. + Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and persuasive manner. + Previous exposure to proposal writing is a valuable asset. + Proficient in managing concurrent tasks with precision. + Exhibit meticulous attention to detail. + A willingness to work in a field-based capacity, with flexibility to attend evening events as needed. + Up to 10% travel is required. Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or related field; or comparable work experience. + 3 + years proven track record in technical sales or business development within the construction, engineering, property management, or safety industry. + Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and compliance requirements within OSHA 1910, ASME A120, IWCA I-14, UL 96A, and NFPA 780. + Proficiency in AutoCAD, CRM, and Bluebeam is a plus.
