GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:The Sales Support Specialist is responsible to ensure a holistic approach to our client experience with General Code. This role involves providing excellent client service, working with our west and east coast client care team, sales and operations in partnership. The Sales Support Specialist will triage the codification needs and requests of our municipality network and promote products and services that build client loyalty and contribute to General Code ‘s growth objectives. This role will assist in building and retaining good customer relationships and ensure smooth transition of product upgrades, timely response to formal request for information on- active projects, current contract requirements, budgeting requests and account status along with facilitation of quotes and service requests for our recurring client base.
As such, this individual utilizes in-depth knowledge of company products and software programs and works across departments to access information to create extraordinary service. Every time. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES OR TASKS PERFORMED * Supports the incoming company phone calls in a professional manner* Manages various client incoming requests via phone or email inboxes for resolution* Acts as a liaison for products/services information* Provides quotes and estimates for budget purposes* Collaborates with sales, when necessary, to research and resolve client concerns* Maintains and updates database of clients and prospects* Leads and executes all scheduled client communication and reminders for retention and project milestones* Collaborates with other departments, when necessary, to research and resolve client concerns* Contributes to the growth of key company revenue streams confirming scope of work for internal departments* Maintains a thorough knowledge of and enthusiasm for company products and services and communicates benefits/solutions effectively to clients
Required Experience:
QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY COMPETENCIES:* Three to five years’ experience in an office or business environment, multitasking across departments* Four -year degree preferred* Strong experience with contact management databases & MS Office* Strong verbal and written communication skills for building client relationships* Ability to understand client needs and problem solve* Demonstrated experience and aptitude with the use of electronic services* Superb organizational and prioritization skills* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment* Works continually towards self-development* Personal values that match our corporate values
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:This is an office environment with a moderate noise level. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand while reading and typing on a computer. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.
