As a **Sales Support Specialist** , you will be part of the Marketing Team for Caterpillar’s Building Construction Products (BCP) division. This role specifically focuses on machine attachments. You’ll contribute to sales growth through responsibilities for the go-to-market strategy including pricing, dealer training, promotions and sales support materials. **What You’ll Do:** + High customer focus that will regularly survey dealers and customers to determine current and future growth opportunities driving NPI + Drive the creation of materials for new product introductions (NPI) including both dealer-facing and customer-facing literature + Answer inquiries and resolve problems regarding products and services via calls, email or internet chat + Responsible for dealer training, marketing messages, merchandising programs, sales variance, competitive analysis and sales forecast + Consult with other Caterpillar product groups, district team and dealers in developing and implementing customer solutions designed to maximize product value and price + Support dealer sales initiatives such as customer visit, dealer shows and events + Represent the division on corporate initiatives related to product sales support materials and processes + Travel 25-50% **Skills You Have:** + **Customer Focus:** Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized solutions for dealer and customers + **Effective Communication:** Excellent written and verbal communication skills for use when contributing to magazine editorials, providing dealer training both virtual and in person, creating dealer and customer facing materials + **Industry Knowledge:** Basic understanding of industries Caterpillar serves to provide successful go-to market strategies + **Relationship Management:** Excellent interpersonal skills working across product group teams as well as industry facing teams **Top Candidates Will Also Have:** + Strong attention to detail with follow-thru until project completion + Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously + Multi discipline experience such as engineering, marketing, UX/UI + Bachelor’s degree in marketing or engineering **Additional Details:** + Work location: Cary, NC, Clayton, NC or Sanford, NC + Caterpillar operates in a hybrid work environment which requires 3 days per week of in-office work **Summary Pay Range:** $87,480.00 - $131,280.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
