Initially, you will need to understand Canon’s full suite of industrial products. You will be challenged with developing the skills necessary to effectively communicate with customers and Canon teams in USA and Japan.  We will educate you in the navigation of Canon’s varied management and internal resource channels, and assist as you learn to develop the strategies necessary to manage and support internal processes and accounts.  You will further develop and utilize your strong time management skills to provide consistent accessibility, service, and maximum visibility to both internal stakeholders and customers.  Our goal is to train you to become an effective Sales Specialist whose ultimate objective will be to establish strong relationships, both internally and externally, and contribute to sales growth.
 
This position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office two company designated days a week and an option to work from home the remainder of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on other days).
Effective January 1, 2025, we will increase our required, scheduled in-office days for hybrid employees to three days a week. Your Impact -
 Manage and maintain customer / vendor files, records and databases

 Communicates customers to establish smooth business operation for sales shipping

 Responsible for processing customer orders, i.e. order entry, picking, processing shipments, invoicing, etc

 Responsible for ordering products and processing incoming shipments of parts and merchandise

-
 Support sales manager by managing back-order list and providing sales revenue forecast

-
 Represent Canon professionally by obtaining comprehensive knowledge of our product portfolio and sales processes

-
 Increase sales performance by building close relationships within Canon, our clients and how our products can fit their market needs

 Work closely with sales supervisors in US, to prepare solutions for customers

 Contribute to the achievement of monthly and annual sales product and revenue targets

 Develop and maintain effective relationships using cross-functional communication across multiple levels including purchasing, accounting, service and engineering departments. About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring • Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 3-5 years of related experience
• Detail oriented and organized with strong computer, customer service and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize urgent requests.
• MS Office proficiency including Word, Basic Excel, Quickbooks helpful, Powerpoint helpful
• Bilingual Japanese/English preferred.
