\nThis is your chance to be part of a Finance Team that is a critical business partner that manages all global activities related to financial performance, accounting, tax, forecasting, risk management, and asset management. As a sales tax accountant on the Hilton Transaction Team reporting to Manager, Transaction Taxes, you will focus on the compliance of sales, use, and transient occupancy tax returns. This includes evaluating data to file accurate tax returns. You will also assist with research, audits, and planning projects.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
\nYour role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.
\nWhat your day-to-day will be like:
\n\nPrepare, research, and file multiple sales, occupancy, use, telecom, and liquor tax returns for our managed hotels. You will notify hotel finance and the hotel of any discrepancies\nMaintain a tax calendar either online or through SharePoint with due dates, logins, etc. to ensure all returns are filed\nAnalyze all monthly exemptions to ensure they comply with applicable jurisdiction rules\n\nHow you will collaborate with others:
\n\nRespond to requests for tax information by internal customers and taxing jurisdictions\nResolve any compliance issues with taxing authorities\nInteract with team members, corporate accountants, and hotel employees\n\nWhat projects you will take ownership of:
\n\nMaintain and add to the hotel information folders in SharePoint\nIdentify or assist to improve operations or streamline processes\nEnsure your PeopleSoft worksheets are up-to-date and correct\n\nWHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT
\nYou have these minimum qualifications:
\n\nOne (1) year of professional tax experience\nTwo (2) years of general ledger accounting experience\nExperience interpreting financial data\nExperience with financial systems, such as PeopleSoft\nExperience researching tax implications\n\nIt would be useful if you have:
