You will join the recently created TRACTEBEL entity in the UK, with very ambitious goals and exceptional projects. The entity’s mission is to promote TRACTEBEL as a key player in the UK nuclear industry, alongside supporting and working in collaboration with our colleagues across the world.
As well as a number of prestigious and innovative nuclear research, operation, and decommissioning projects throughout Europe, TRACTEBEL is also contributing to the detailed design of structures on the Nuclear Island at Hinkley Point C (HPC) and Sizewell C (SZC). As well as our flagship projects, TRACTEBEL also has a pipeline of other opportunities in the nuclear industry to feed our expansion in 2024 and 2025.

The Opportunity
As a Tender / Sales Manager, you would lead the internal bid process, including defining specific tender strategies, building the story, and coordinating internal stakeholders to find the solutions and resources to submit a compliant tender.
The will require a combination of best practice bidding techniques, with relationship management and collaboration skills to lead the tender process from receipt through the evaluation of final client feedback.
The core accountabilities and responsibilities of this role will include:
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business growth and revenue targets within target markets. Coordinate the regional Business Plan, ensuring that each year is fully defined with a probabilistic pipeline (Must Win, Should Win, Could Win). Lead the preparation and submission of high-quality tenders and proposals, that are competitive and compliant with legal, regulatory and company requirements. Develop and manage budgets for sales and tendering activities. Maintain Key Account Plans to help understand and communicate client’s business needs and opportunities to explore. Maintain strong relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders. Lead and mentor a team of sales and tendering professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment. Ensure effective communication and coordination between sales, tendering, BD and other departments (Business Streams and Disciplines). Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives in sales and tendering processes. Stay updated with industry trends and innovations to drive business growth. Provide training to regional staff on work winning principles and encourage engagement when on client sites. Utilise Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to manage sales activities and client interactions.
Your Profile
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate would meet the following requirements and criteria:
Bachelor’s or master’s in a relevant Engineering or Science is an asset. 10 years of experience working within the nuclear industry. Knowledge of the UK nuclear ecosystem and experience in producing and analysing tenders in the UK nuclear industry. Commercial acumen to understand client and tender requirements and to drive competitive tenders. Ability to facilitate key workshops and discussions with clients and internally. Proactive individual who can work collaboratively within a multicultural team. Agile and self-motivated, with a focus on improving personal and team performance and able to generate innovative outcomes to challenges. You enjoy new challenges and are keen to learn and willing to take responsibility whilst also wanting to support others within our team. Proficiency in French or Dutch is not mandatory but is beneficial.
