Sales Trainee

Overview: Butler Machinery is in search of a passionate individual who is interested in learning more about the sales and support operations of our business. The Sales Trainee is responsible to learn all business functions associated with Butler Machinery’s Equipment business and provide sales support to various departments as needed.  If you illustrate dedication to customer satisfaction and have a passion for equipment, read the job description below and apply today!

Responsibilities:

Become fluent with all brands, equipment, and services we represent in both our Ag and Construction businessLearn and become an expert user of all relevant business systems such as DBS, BMTS, and CloudLinkJob Shadow various departments and individuals at the stores and the corporate office to familiarize yourself with Butler Machinery business processes, programs, procedures, and cultureDevelop relationships with specific customer accounts assigned to you with a planned approach set forth by your managerSupport Ag Product Specialists and Heavy Demo Equipment Operators with machine start-ups or demoes throughout the territoryComplete all assigned Online Product Training to familiarize yourself with our product offerings.Assist with setup and work the farm shows throughout the territoryTravel required:  Day trips to support neighboring stores, overnights to attend trade shows/training, and job shadows or support at Corporate or other facilitiesWorks within and promotes the vision, mission, and values of BMCPerforms other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

A minimum of a 2-year associate degree in a related field or equivalent combination of business experience, training, and/or education preferred.Basic knowledge of Heavy Construction Equipment, Ag Equipment, current farming practices, or current construction/dirt work operations preferred.Basic knowledge of retail finance contracts and leasing preferred. Problem solving skills.Microsoft computer skills.Excellent motivation, a self-starter with high energy to learn and do more.Willingness to relocate as Customer Account Manager, Product Specialist, Demo Operator, or other associated jobs open up across the BMC Territory (ND, SD, NE, MT)
