Are you looking for a long-term position with a stable company?  As a Sales Trainee, you’ll complete a defined training program tailored to prepare the successful candidate for future roles in material sales within Nedrow, NY.  In addition to sales, the program will expose the candidate to a broad range of functions within the business including operations and numerous other support departments.  Some of the things the successful candidate will focus on in the program are as follows:
 Strong focus on the sales side of the business including the sales processes, orders, logistics, billing, etc.Involvement in the operational side of the business including exposure to mining, processing, quality control, and shipping.A solid understanding of the support departments including the functions that they perform and how they support the business.  These include CCM, finance, and legal.Complete various projects as assigned during the training program.  Projects may be operational, sales or business development related.  These projects are a great way for the successful candidate to really add value to the organization and increase their own skills while completing the training program.Participate in continuous improvement exercises, including work that is heavily analytical, to seek new and changing ways to improve the profitability of the business.Drive and promote a culture of safety and promote a safe work environmentWhat we are looking forA Bachelors or Advanced degree in sales/marketing, construction management, mining or another applicable program.Strong interpersonal and teamwork skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWillingness to maintain a safe workplace and to perform hands on duties as part of an overall development programComputer literacyAbility to anticipate and adapt to changing situationsWillingness to travel and / or relocate for future assignmentsWhat we have to offerCompetitive base salary and participation in our annual incentive planHighly competitive benefits programs401k retirement savings plan with an automatic company contribution as well as matching contributions Heidelberg Materials is a drug free workplace
