SALES TRAINER
OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:
The Sales Trainer supports the Sales Training Department in all training aspects with respect to the field sales team to include AVPs, Regional Sales Directors and Field Representatives. This includes assisting Sales Training with initial development training and ongoing training initiatives that will enhance both product knowledge and selling skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provide virtual training during New Hire Sales Training virtual week
· Review and provide feedback on pre- and post-training pitching with New Hires
· Conduct one field ride between in-person trainings (travel to be re-evaluated in 1 year)
· Field calls on questions from the Sales team
· 1:1 coaching on business planning, messaging and sales basics with ASCs and PSCs as needed
· Attend ASC monthly call to help ensure product messaging and conduct follow-up on content
· Work on clinical IdeaGen content for Sales Training
· Provide feedback to Sales Training and Marketing teams on field needs and potential solutions
· Attend in-person training week and support Marketing + Sales Training as needed
· A contributor to long range planning, brand planning, launches, NSM content, and other cross-functional projects that necessitate training initiatives
· Partner closely with Marketing on Sales materials as needed
· Model compliance through all activities and interactions
COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
· Exhibits exceptional degree of understanding of the clinical problems facing our physician customers, Biodesix products, and their clinical benefits and applications.
· Exhibits exceptional knowledge of the sales process and proper onboarding of accounts.
· Exhibits excellent coaching skills. Assists the Senior Director of Sales Training in ensuring the team grasps concepts and can execute learnings to move the business forward.
· Very strong communication skills, both written and verbal
· Adheres to a rigorous work ethic
· Exhibits a high degree of flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing environment
· Strong presentation style with proven ability to make group presentations at regional and national meetings and to major customers
· Strong organizational, scheduling, planning, and prioritizing abilities
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s Degree
· A minimum of 2 years’ previous sales experience with strong performance in the pharmaceutical, biotech, oncology, or other related industry.
· Consistently met or exceeded assigned sales targets, other goals and objectives
REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:
This role shall comply, at a minimum, with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined in:
· CLIA: Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) Requirements, Title 42 Code of Federal Regulations Part 493
· CAP: College of American Pathologists (CAP): All Common, Laboratory General, Chemistry, and Toxicology, Director Assessment, Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Pathology
· NYS CLEP: New York State Department of Health, Clinical Laboratory Evaluation Program (CLEP), New York State Public Health Law, Article 5 Title 5
· ISO: International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 13485, Quality Management Systems, Requirements for Regulatory Purposes, 2016
· All other applicable state and regulatory governing authorities including but not limited to: CA, PA, RI, MD
