A Sales and Use Tax Specialist is responsible for filing tax returns, remittance of tax payments, and meeting statutory deadlines within the P2P space of the Shared Business Operations (SBO).
Required Experience:
Three (3) years of experience in Sales & Use Tax or Indirect TaxOracle Fusion experienceGeneral familiarity with tax law Intermediate in Excel Education: Associates Degree or abovePreferred Experience:

Tax processing: Prepares sales and use tax returns timely and accurately, including but not limited to reconciliation of monthly tax accrual accounts.Payment processing: Initiates payments for state of local taxing jurisdictions via appropriate payment method, generally check, wire or ACH.Audit management: Capable of providing department support by assisting the Tax Team with sales and use tax audit information gathering. Assists the Tax team, hospitals or outside consultants with sales and use tax refund claims and special projects as needed.Compliance: Ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid regulations.Record keeping: Provides assistance with the maintenance and organization of the sales and use tax files by entity while maintaining CHS guidelines, Policies and Procedures, and audit requirements.Process improvement: Continuously improving the sales and use tax process to increase efficiency and reduce errors.Communication and collaboration: Collaborating with other departments, such as finance, accounting, and procurement, to ensure that financial records and transactions are accurately recorded and reported, and to provide guidance on sales and use tax matters.We know it’s not just about finding a job.
