Sales Vp, Enterprise (SE Region)

What You’ll Do:
Sell USX services within an assigned region to grow the business.  Align sales activities with business strategy and needs of operations business owners.

Sell USX services in a manner that maximizes revenue, meets operational velocity requirements, and addresses direction and seasonality needs in the assigned region. Identify market volatility in assigned territory and develop sales strategies to adapt to the changing business environment. Develop new business opportunities for all SBU’s. Improve freight dynamics by replacing unprofitable business with healthy business that better fits the USX network.  Deliver consistent quarter to quarter sales needed to achieve revenue targets for the company while building the foundation for long term leadership in the market space. Maintain calendar, prospect leads and sales call activity in CRM on a weekly basis. Retain profitable freight by managing account base and ensuring quality relationships with customers. Develop new business from existing accounts by understanding the customers’ business, identifying growth opportunities, and driving improvement. Understand and respond to the changing freight needs in assigned territories. Align sales activities to address immediate operations requirements.   Cross sell all service offerings: Solo, Team, Expedited (XD), Mexico (XI), Brokerage and Logistics (XNS) Identify and initiate activities to prospective customers to generate profitable freight. Initiate sales calls to screen prospective customers for new business.   Review prospective customer transportation needs. Drive freight improvements in the area of velocity, lane direction and seasonality. Present proposals to customers that will grow the business. Negotiate customer acceptance of proposals.   Track sales activity of customers to ensure sales commitments are met and generate profitable freight. Work closely with inside sales in support of corporate revenue goals. Act as a liaison between the customer and all internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction, problem resolution, correction of billing errors and collections on overdue accounts. Document sales activities and update account records in Sales Logic on a daily basis. Review sales metrics and scorecards to continuously driver improvement.
