Salesforce Technical Architect
The Salesforce Technical Architect leads the designs, architectures, and technical oversights of Salesforce solutions across multiple projects. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, quality assurance engineers, and non-technical business stakeholders, to deliver, maintain, and support cutting-edge Salesforce functionality. The Technical Architect serves as a strategic advisor and ensures solutions are scalable and aligned with CoreSite’s growth strategy. Leveraging deep expertise with Salesforce.com products, Application Programming Interfaces, Apex/Visualforce, Lightning, and integration/extract, transform and load tools, the Technical Architect creates robust, scalable, long-lasting solutions. The Technical Architect ensures successful project deliveries by crafting clear visions, designing the architectures, providing strategic guidance, and actively supporting teams including taking a hands-on approach when necessary. Key Responsibilities + Architect, design, implement, and oversee Salesforce solutions, ensuring scalability and performance optimization. + Provide architectural and design leadership across multiple Salesforce projects. + Lead and facilitate technical and functional workshops, translating business requirements into well-architected Salesforce solutions. + Guide technical design sessions, documenting risks and solutions aligned with business objectives. + Collaborate with business stakeholders to shape the architectural vision and develop roadmaps for Salesforce adoption. + Advocate for configuration over custom code while providing hands-on coding expertise in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and other Salesforce technologies. + Lead Salesforce development teams, identifying best practices, driving agile processes, and delivering custom development, integrations, and data migration. + Develop and review comprehensive design specifications, ensuring adherence to design patterns and coding standards. + Mentor and coach development teams on Salesforce capabilities, new features, and best practices. + Act as a trusted advisor, engaging in conversations with Enterprise Architects and business stakeholders to ensure architectural alignment. + Drive and approach efforts to enable Lightning UI, optimize the Salesforce platform, and create scalable solutions that align with growth initiatives. + Write and review comprehensive functional and technical specifications, ensuring clarity and alignment with business needs. Requirements Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: + Able to work during normal business hours, as well as nights or weekends as needed, to support deployments. + Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment, with at least two days a week in a Denver, CO, office. + Expert-level understanding of the Salesforce product suite (Sales, Service, Experience Clouds) and technical architectures. + Expertise in object-oriented programming, design patterns, and modern UI techniques, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and advanced JavaScript. + Deep familiarity with Salesforce CPQ (Revenue Cloud) and integration tools such as MuleSoft. + Strong understanding of platform security, authentication, and identity management patterns. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across technical and business teams. + Solid experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and multi-team collaboration. + Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, ecosystem, and best practices, focusing on integration architecture, data management, and platform security. + Proficiency in developing and managing custom objects, data models, flows, validations, triggers, and Salesforce administrative tools. + Advanced knowledge of environment management, release management, version control, and deployment best practices on the Salesforce platform. + Strong background in system architecture and integration, including APIs, ETL, and data migration tools such as MuleSoft. + Ability to mentor and lead development teams to build scalable and maintainable solutions. Education/Experience: + Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field preferred. + At least 12 years of customer relationship management experience, with at least 7 years on the Salesforce platform. + Experience in multiple full lifecycle Salesforce implementations, including hands-on development and architectural leadership. + Experience working with Salesforce customization, data management, and platform security. + Experience with platform authentication patterns, data sharing, visibility considerations, and performance-driven solution design. + Active Salesforce certifications (Admin, Developer, Sales, Service Cloud, System Architect, Application Architect, etc.) preferred. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus and equity, based upon individual and company performance.
