Salesperson Needed for Busy Dealership

If you are an enthusiastic self-starter with a passion for selling and you enjoy working with customers, then we want you to be part of our team as an Automotive Sales Consultant.

The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, a confident and outgoing personality, a professional appearance, great communication skills, and the ability to deliver world-class customer service. 1-2 years of experience is preferred, but not required. He or she must be self-motivated with a willingness to continuously prospect to sell a minimum quota (or more!) on an ongoing basis.
 


RESPONSIBILITIES

Helps customer with vehicle selection and promotes model options and features, value-add products and services, and purchase and finance options following dealership policiesConducts vehicle test drives and ensures all speed limits all other rules of the road are followedNegotiates sale closure in a clear, concise, and highly ethical fashionHelps facilitate delivery by providing a clear explanation of vehicle and features operation, warranty, and servicing requirementsMaintains accurate sales documentationMaintains up-to-date knowledge of all vehicles, accessories, financing options, and promotionsAttends all staff meetings, training, and educational classes as requiredHelps educate/train new staff membersPerforms other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous 1-2 years Automotive sales experienceProfessional appearance and demeanorExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, co-workers, management, and othersMust be able to combine customer service skills with a strong closeMust not have bounced from one sales job to the nextMust be a "people person" but still know how to control the dealMust have an excellent attendance record and a commitment to being on timeMust have a valid and clean NY state drivers licenseMust be able to pass a drug test and a background checkBasic computer and internet skillsA track record of successful sales, high earnings, and portfolio of previous customersMust have an energetic and enthusiastic approach to customer interaction.Must have strong computer skills and follow the sales process.
