Applicants who wish to be considered for this role must reside in the Greater Grand Rapids, MI area.
Start Date: Monday December 2, 2024 or Monday January 13, 2025 Compensation: $17.00 - $17.56 hr. Training: 90 days, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. After 90 days, the Department hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. CST with flexible schedule options, 40 hours/week, depending on department needs. Office Locations: Caledonia, MI Overview of the Role This position processes title paperwork for total loss vehicles, motorcycles, and specialty vehicles. The role assists customers throughout the title transfer process and answers questions about title paperwork. The position manages salvage inventory to ensure salvage vehicles are sold in a timely manner. A Day in the Life of ... Maintains and manages claims inventory by using diary system to ensure timely follow up and processing. Reviews paperwork and makes decisions on vehicle titles for accuracy and completeness in accordance with state guidelines. Notifies Total Loss Specialists if title paperwork is incorrect or incomplete, and notifies them when payments can be made to customers. Sends paperwork to customers who submit incomplete or inaccurate title documents. Follows up with customers in a timely manner for pending paperwork including additional paperwork which may be required for title transfer as a result of the claim. Compiles and sends settlement packets to customers as needed. Reviews and submits completed paperwork to vendor for processing. Completes special transfer processes within state guidelines when paperwork is not transferable. Makes outbound calls to customers to follow up on paperwork and titles, and to discuss errors or incomplete paperwork. Takes inbound calls from customers who have questions about completing paperwork or signing the title. Responds to emails and messages from internal and external customers. Reviews and manages inventory of pending salvage vehicles to ensure that appropriate state avenues are utilized for the efficient liquidation of salvage assets for the Exchanges. Collaborates with Field Salvage Coordinators on vehicles needing special attention to be liquidated. Performs other duties as assigned. You May be Great if You Have the Following ... Strong verbal communication and listening skills. Demonstrated written communication skills. Demonstrated customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills, including multi-tasking with strong attention to detail. Possesses strong technical aptitude. Basic computer skills: comfortable with using multiple computer monitors simultaneously. Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite. Ability to type an average of 50-60 wpm. Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty. Must utilize resources to become familiar with vehicle title paperwork requirements for all fifty (50) states. Education Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required. Experience Requirements Clerical or administrative experience preferred. Physical Actions & Environment This role, whether performed virtually or in an office setting, will include normal and customary distractions, noise, and interruptions. Sits or stands for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift. Occasionally reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Occasionally moves, lifts, carries, and places objects and supplies weighing 0-10 pounds without assistance. Listens to, interprets, and differentiates auditory information (example others speaking) at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Visually verifies and reads information. Visually locates material, resources and other objects. Ability to continuously operate a computer for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift. Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate keyboard and other office equipment up to a full work shift.Benefits
