This role's hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, and On Site at our Madison, WI location.
Job DescriptionTo supervise the activities of operational staff responsible for sample registration (entry) and/or changes. Responsible for receipt, triage, registration, movement and changes to daily client samples, as applicable. Assists the lab manager or supervisor with general leadership responsibilities. All activities are conducted in compliance with appropriate SOPs, regulatory agency guidelines and in support of ISO/IEC 17025:2005.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.Regular attendance and punctualityApplies GMP/GLP/FSMA/HACCP/ ServSafe in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate.Applies knowledge of Laboratory Information Management (NIMS) software to daily projects. Reviews data in NIMS, as applicableDevelops expertise in operation of the registration process including a range of software tools.Daily oversight of staff assignments and productivityAssures staff compliance to SOPs and other regulatory agency guidelinesEnsures staff are trained appropriately and may provide retraining, as necessary.Performs a limited range of human resources responsibilities, including timesheet approval, PTO scheduling, regular one-on-one meetings.Assists manager with other human resource responsibilities such as performance management, recruiting and others as necessary.Works effectively as a team with other Group Leaders in Sample ManagementInvestigates process deviations and improvement opportunities, recommends solutions, and implements action plans.Maintains a clean and safe work environmentConducts all activities in a safe and efficient mannerPerforms other duties as assignedQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 2 years of college or technical school training, prefer a Bachelor degree in a science or math program. Experience may be substituted for education for the right applicant.Computer expertise required including Excel experience with pivot tables, charts and graphs, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and SharePoint.5+ years of commercial experienceSkilled in people interactions that are positive and supportiveDemonstrated ability to deliver results on both short term and long term goals.
