Job DescriptionThis individual will support Sample Management for our Professional Scientific Services group in the Gaithersburg, MD area.
Scientist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
The candidate will be primarily responsible for the receipt, storage, inventory, and distribution of samples and standards for analytical testing, utilizing computer-based asset management systems.Prepares aliquots of samples and labels using automated systems.Review documentation to ensure completeness of paperwork submission. She/he/they will also be responsible for the organization and maintenance of environmental chambers and ensure that samples are stored in appropriate temperature conditions.Candidate must have excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.Candidate will need to interact with other team members from different departments to address their concerns, answer their questions, and assist them with their needs.The candidate will complete and document activities following established site-specific GxP, SOP, and protocols.Recognizes any deviations from project guidelines, determines appropriate course of action, and notifies applicable personnel.Applicants must be willing to work around and handle unknown health risk material in a Biosafety level 2/3 Environment.QualificationsThe ideal candidate would possess:
