Sample Preparation Analyst
Our Client, an Internet Service Providers, Website Hosting & Internet-Related Services company, is looking for a Sample Preparation Analyst for their Puslinch, ON location. Responsibilities: + This position is responsible for performing analyses, customer support, sample management and preparation. + Perform analysis as per RGUA quality management system to provide reliable and accurate results. Provide customer support & build effective relationships with internal and external clients. Sample preparation + Perform analysis as per RGU quality management system: + Participate in the reliability and timeliness of results and ensure KPI’s are met + Participate in implementing test methods validated by PCL + Perform analyses as per RGU Quality management system + Participate in the management of non-conformities / corrective and preventive actions + Support RGU prep email - reply to emails, provide customer service, resolve questions/queries in a timely manner + Ensure all external lab results are entered and monitor late external results + Receiving samples in LIMs, entering requests, aliquoting, and crushing / grinding + Ensure traceability of samples: registration of samples, recording, and coding + Organize subcontracted analysis: sending samples and monitoring of deadlines + Ensure preparation and customer service KPI’s are met + Follow quality, health and safety, and environmental requirements of the lab and site + Work as a team player, including open and honest communication + Respect the Client’s 5 Principles and the Ethics and Compliance at Clients policy (i.e. conflicts of interest and confidentiality) + Other duties as assigned by Line Manager Requirements: + Degree or diploma in a science-based program or equivalent level of experience (≥ 3 years in a laboratory and/or customer service environment) + Excellent communication (fluent in English) and customer service skills + ≥ 2 years of experience working in a laboratory environment or customer service role. + Ability to work under pressure, manage, and analyze unexpected situations + Microsoft Office proficiency required (Excel as priority), Laboratory Information Management System(LIMS) + Understanding of the importance of avoiding cross contamination + Knowledge of food safety and nutrition preferred + Computer skills, able to learn new software quickly + Physical requirements, standing for long periods of time and ability to lift (30-50lbs) + Adaptability, time management, strong communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, flexibility, emotional intelligence, teamwork, and the ability to prioritize and quickly adjust to changing situations + Industry Experience (software / websites) Must have and good to have. + Degree or diploma in a science based program or equivalent level of experience + ≥ 3 years in a laboratory and/or customer service environment Why Should You Apply? + Health Benefits + Referral Program + Excellent growth and advancement opportunities As an equal opportunity employer, ICONMA provides an employment environment that supports and encourages the abilities of all persons without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or express, ethnicity, national origin, age, disability status, political affiliation, genetics, marital status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
