Job Title: Sample Preparation Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Sample Preparation Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving, preparing, and shipping samples, as well as performing data entry tasks using LIMS. You will work with grain samples to grind them for testing within the Food Chemistry and Grain Department. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop into a high-level scientist/technologist, gaining hands-on experience with new instrumentation and methods. Responsibilities + Receive samples. + Prepare samples to be shipped. + Perform sample preparation tasks. + Work with LIMS for data entry and priority notes. + Grind grain samples for testing in the Food Chemistry and Grain Department. Essential Skills + Experience working in a production environment. + Strong decision-making skills. + Proficiency with LIMS. + Detail-oriented. + Ability to follow critical thinking and standard operating procedures (SOPs). + Team-oriented. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School Diploma. + Experience in a laboratory setting. + Experience in chemistry and sample preparation. Work Environment The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 10 AM to 7 PM. The position may require around 5 hours of overtime as needed. Candidates are expected to stay until all work is completed for the day. This role offers a collaborative environment where you will work closely with a team to gain valuable experience and develop your skills.
