Sample Processing Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sample Processer to join our laboratory team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing laboratory specimens, ensuring accurate and timely handling of samples, and providing support to various areas of the laboratory. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our laboratory operations.
Responsibilities
+ Receive and process laboratory specimens for analysis
+ Research, troubleshoot, and resolve customer and specimen problems
+ Send test requests to the proper location and release test results
+ Assist clients with any specimen-related requests or inquiries
+ Process specimens to be sent out to additional facilities
+ Provide support to various areas of the laboratory
+ Perform sample sorting, racking, and retrieving
+ Prepare record logs in a timely and efficient manner
+ Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
+ MUST have good tenure in previous roles
+ Experience in a laboratory environment is preferred
+ Comfortability with handling biological specimens
+ Basic computer and data entry skills
+ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Work Environment
This is a lab-based environment where candidates will work mostly on their own in sectioned-off areas. The department has 80 total employees. There is no patient contact. The role involves helping process lab samples in a production-based environment
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.25 - $18.00
