Shaw Industries is hiring a Samples Merchandising Project Specialist.
The Samples Division has the opportunity to work with all areas responsible for providing products and services that help create preference for Shaw products. We are involved from the concept through the delivery of the samples to our customers. This role will give you the opportunity to work on different cross-functional teams and build a wide range of relationships throughout the company. This position will have multiple touch points that include working with R&D, Creative Marketing, Events Group, Brand Groups, Sales, Manufacturing, Distribution, Customer Service, Vendor Partners, Accounting, and IT. The Merchandising Project Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the Go-To-Market process from initial concept through final delivery to the customer. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple team members and stakeholders to ensure successful execution of merchandising initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and manage the Go-To-Market process from initial concept to sample delivery to the customer, ensuring all milestones are met based on the agreed upon timelines from Brand.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Brand groups, Design, R&D, Vendor Management, Production, Distribution, Sales, and Marketing to develop and execute merchandising strategies for both domestic and international.
Provide detailed product specifications, including materials, dimensions, and other technical details to samples spec entry team to provide a clear road map of new spec/change status.
Work closely with the spec entry team to resolve any discrepancies or issues that arise during the spec entry process.
Continuously evaluate and improve the Go-To-Market and sample processes to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, reduce cost, and improve overall quality.
Partner with Brand to maintain samples specs in the appropriate status.
Create project timelines partnering with the Vendor Management Team to validate production milestones are achievable and met.
Coordinate with Samples Analyst group to ensure sample packages are created and timelines are communicated for delivery.
Ensure all art templates and proofs are requested, received, and approved.
Coordinate with planning teams to schedule to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing processes.
Responsible for setting up style numbers, submit cost, and requesting purchase orders for displays and graphics.
Create prototype/mockup of new delivery vehicles when necessary for QC approval.
Ensure new specs are costed to avoid delays in the distribution process.
Coordinate packing and shipping of market samples, giving directions on loading trailers as needed.
Assist in creation and maintenance of sample packages with Analyst.
Partner with Brand Management to be the single point of contact within Samples, to provide sample reporting as needed.
Identify rework needs and implement strategies to ensure effective solution.
Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and reliability in merchandising operations.
Create strategic influence through mentoring and supporting the merchandising team, providing guidance and training as needed.
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, encouraging teamwork and professional growth.
Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, address challenges, and align on goals and priorities.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
4-year college degree or High School Diploma/GED with 3+ years' experience in Project Management, Marketing, or Supply Chain Required
Prior project management experience Preferred
Ability to travel to 1 or 2 market events annually Preferred
HYBRID WORKER REQUIREMENTS
The Merchandising Project Specialist will be responsible for providing a Reliable High-Speed Internet Connection to access Shaw Systems while working from home. Minimum Speed 10mbps/Download; 3mbps/Upload without data limits or restrictions.
The Merchandising Project Specialists should have a defined workspace to conduct business with office furniture that meets ergonomic needs and a professional atmosphere.
The Merchandising Project Specialists are expected to be available to work during times of inclement weather and emergencies, be open to mandatory overtime, and schedule changes.
The Project Specialists must manage their schedule when required to participate in on-site meetings.
