San Diego Station (NBC 7 and T20) Production Internship - Summer 2025

Job Description

NBC 7 and Telemundo 20 San Diego internships provide students with real world experience and exposure to working in the television news industry.  Internships at NBC 7 and Telemundo 20 are paid and do not require course credit.

Responsibilities:

As a Production Intern for our station, you will …

Learn about industry-specific technologies used to create live newscasts.Shadow APC Operators during pre-production and execution of newscasts.Receive hands-on training with Automated Production Control technology.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

Must be familiar with Windows OS and PC environments.Must be proficient in MS Office applications.Must have basic knowledge of TV studio operations.

Eligibility Requirements:

In pursuit of an associate, bachelor’s, or graduate degree at an accredited institution. Must be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress.Current class standing of junior or aboveThe ability to work in-person at the San Diego station

Required On-Site: This position is 15 hours per week and required to be performed from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.

The pay rate for this position is $17.25 per hour.
