Interactive Brokers is looking to hire a Sanctions Systems Analyst at the Chicago office. This entry-level position has room for growth for highly motivated and exceptional performers. The Sanctions Systems Analyst will report to the Sanctions Systems Manager and help ensure the firm complies with relevant sanctions laws and regulations.

  Responsibilities:  Oversight and testing of the sanctions screening system Coordination of technical projects and initiatives, including any modifications to tools and models used by the Sanctions team Development and maintenance of regular metrics reporting to assess system effectiveness and team productivity Enhance operational efficiency by identifying areas for improvement and facilitating projects to streamline current processes. Assist with the maintenance and reporting of OFAC-blocked property. Ad hoc data analysis to support senior management requests, regulatory inquiries, response to regulatory changes, etc.   Qualifications and Skills:  Excellent Bachelor-level educational credentials. A focus on finance, computer science, data analytics or similar areas is preferred. Candidates should have a strong Microsoft Excel and SQL background. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and an interest in automating inefficient or repetitive processes A high degree of comfort with technology and a functional understanding of how technology can be applied to business solutions Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work both independently as well as in a small-team environment and to multi-task with minimal supervision Detail-oriented with outstanding organizational and time-management skills Candidates must be focused, adaptable, and have a natural motivation to solve problems.   Preferred Qualifications:  Experience working or interning for an exchange, regulatory agency, Broker Dealer (BD), Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) or similar organization is a plus. Direct experience in sanctions compliance is strongly preferred.
