Job Responsibilities and Duties:\n\nOperates underground backfill plants.\nOperates high- pressure slurry pumping systems. \nMonitors the slurry silo filling. Co-ordinates intake and output from silos.\nMonitors the slurry intake and output to the Geho backfill pumps at the 6450 and 7200 sand plants as required.\nDraw density samples and record pertinent data related to back fill operations. \nPerform routine maintenance and troubleshoot breakdowns.\nMaintain operational records on a shift-by-shift basis.\nPerform other duties as assigned from time to time at the discretion of the company.\n\n

Qualifications and Skills:\n

Required:\n\nStationary equipment operations & maintenance background\nPiping and valve installation\/maintenance\nMonitor slurry silo filling and maintain both 6450 and 7200 sand plants\nMonitor and maintain sand pours\nCommunication skills-written and verbal\nPerform Backfill Audits\nTechnical and mechanical aptitude\nAuthorized to handle explosives per the Safe Explosives Act and be familiar with their use\nCompliance with all company safety standards and policies\n\n

Preferred:\n\nMobile equipment experience\nPrevious sand plant experience\n\n
