Volt is immediately hiring for a Sandblast Operator in Gardena, California.

\r\n\r\n

As a Sandblast Operator you will:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tSandblasting and glass beading bolds with a blast machine\r\n\tStanding for a given 8-9hr shift\r\n\tThe Sand Blast Operator removes markings from metal and other surfaces for repairs\r\n\tOperates Sand Blast machinery\r\n\tMaintains hoses and nozzles, and cleans oils, adjusts, and makes minor repairs to sandblast machines and printable air compressors\r\n\tPerforms clean-up of glass and sand media, and general organization of work area\r\n\r\n\r\n

This is a full-time Temp-to-Hire opportunity.

\r\n\r\n

The ideal candidate will have:

\r\n\r\n

• The ability to read and write English/Spanish
\r\n• An introductory competence in shop math such as working with fractions and decimals.
\r\n• A basic knowledge of inspection tools and their proper use.
\r\n• A basic knowledge of machine tools.
\r\n• The ability to interpret written instruction on shop travelers.
\r\n• Capable of setting up and running parts as required.

\r\n\r\n

Schedule: Monday-Friday 1st Shift, possible Saturdays 6am-2:30pm

\r\n\r\n

Pay Rate: $17.00 - 18.00/hr.

\r\n\r\n

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
