Job Description
As a Sandblast Operator, you will be responsible for removing carbon wicks and excess silicon from products using manual sandblasting equipment. You will load products and operate sandblasting machines, which may involve attaching products to fixtures. Additionally, you will manage the operation of several automated sandblasting machines simultaneously. Your role includes visually inspecting the surface finish of products to determine the completion of the sandblast process and preparing surfaces to sandblast serial numbers using manual sandblast machines.
ResponsibilitiesRemove carbon wicks and excess silicon from products using manual sandblasting equipment.Load products and operate sandblasting machines, potentially attaching products to fixtures.Manage the operation of several automated sandblasting machines simultaneously.Visually inspect the surface finish of products to determine the completion of the sandblast process.Prepare surfaces to sandblast serial numbers into products using manual sandblast machines.Set up and operate both manual and automatic equipment for sanding, grinding, polishing, and powder coating.Essential SkillsUnderstanding of basic shop math and safety processes.Familiarity with measuring instruments, abrasive tooling, materials, drawings, machine functions, and controls.Experience with SiC and Silica Sand Blasting Machines, Manual and Auto Blast cabinets, Electric and Air powered hand grinders, Dremels, various sanding tools, and measuring instruments.Ability to follow processes correctly without returning products for defects or breakage.Ability to measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.Additional Skills & QualificationsProficiency with sanding, grinding, polishing, and powder coating processes.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in the sandblast department and sandblast booth. This position is for the swing shift (2:15 pm - 10:45 pm).

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $50336.00
