**Job Title: Sand Blaster**
**Job Description**
The Bead Blaster is responsible for producing components by assembling parts and subassemblies, reading and deciphering schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions. You will position or align components and parts manually, conduct quality control checks, and clean and maintain your work area and equipment. The role also involves maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Cross-training in sandblasting may be required, and all employees are responsible for reporting environmental risks or hazards in the workplace.
**Responsibilities**
+ Produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
+ Read and decipher schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
+ Position or align components and parts manually.
+ Conduct quality control checks.
+ Clean and maintain work area and equipment.
+ Position parts and subassemblies using templates or reading measurements.
+ Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
+ Cross-train in sandblasting as required.
+ Report environmental risks or hazards in the workplace.
+ Perform other job tasks as assigned by leadership.
+ Remove dirt, paint, grease, and other built-up material from surfaces.
+ Set up and operate a blast booth or similar equipment.
+ Load and unload the blast cabinet.
+ Wear specified PPE as directed, trained, and required.
**Essential Skills**
+ Intermediate mechanical and technical skills.
+ Physical stamina and strength to stand and walk for 8 hours.
+ Focus on quality control and detail orientation.
+ Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble small parts and components.
+ Ability to count and use measurement tools.
+ Previous sandblasting experience or training.
+ Experience working with or removing heavy metals.
+ Familiarity with power tools.
+ Acute awareness of safety.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ Previous manufacturing experience.
+ Experience in painting, sandblasting, polishing, bead blasting, and using a full chamber wearing a suit and respirator.
+ Ability to operate a TIG Welder for 10 hours per day.
+ Experience with blueprints, measuring tools, and calipers.
+ Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred but not required.
+ Attention and care to prevent injury to others when performing work.
+ Ability to work in a team environment and assist in various duties and departments as needed.

**Work Environment**
The work environment includes shifts from 6am-4pm Monday-Thursday, weekend shifts from Friday-Sunday 6am-6pm, or second shifts Monday-Friday 4pm-12am. Flexibility in shifts is required to ensure full coverage. Some Saturday and weekly overtime may be necessary. The facility is well-lit, temperature-controlled, clean, and organized. We are willing to train and invest in retaining and attracting quality talent.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00
