**Job Title: Lead Sanitation Specialist** **Job Description** The Lead Sanitation Specialist is responsible for overseeing and supporting the Sanitation team. The role involves performing Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) on equipment, maintaining and dispensing cleaning chemicals, and completing inspections to ensure adherence to USDA and plant standards. The position requires strict adherence to safety regulations and ensuring all GMP and quality standards are met. **Responsibilities** + Oversee Sanitation operations providing support and guidance. + Perform Lock Out Tag Out on equipment. + Maintain and dispense cleaning chemicals to sanitation crews. + Complete inspections ensuring lines and areas meet USDA and plant standards. + Disassemble and assemble equipment as necessary. + Assist with cleaning and sanitizing. + Assist in training new Sanitation associates. + Conduct safety audits as required. + Engage in special projects as assigned. + Perform other duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Ability to work scheduled/assigned times and required overtime. + Regular attendance to meet production requirements. + Proficiency in reading, writing, communicating, and comprehending written instructions in English. + Ability to follow instructions. + Good communication skills. + Excellent attention to detail. + Basic computer knowledge. + Ability to work individually and as part of a team. + Capability to move up to 50 lbs. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Knowledge of GMPs and plant safety. + Ability to be LOTO certified. + Ability to be PIT certified and maintain certification. + Understanding of damage/loss. + Knowledge of 5s principles. + Knowledge of chemical awareness and MSDS. + High school diploma or GED preferred. + Minimum of 3 months of sanitation or related experience preferred. + Previous lead experience preferred. **Why Work Here?** We offer a supportive work environment where safety and quality are paramount.
