Through its Cooperative Extension offices in all 21 New Jersey counties, dedicated 4-H agents, Extension specialists, Family & Community Health Sciences educators, and Agriculture and Natural Resources agents work to serve New Jersey residents in every area of the state. In addition, off-campus field stations and farms focus on research ranging from support for fisheries, agriculture and allied businesses to support for youth and teens, while several centers and institutes on the George H. Cook Campus at Rutgers–New Brunswick engage in world-class research to provide solutions for a range of issues faced by New Jersey residents. Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Sanitation and Production Worker for the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station (NJAES).

Among the key duties of the position are the following: Cleans and sanitizes production rooms, including equipment, floors, and surfaces, to meet food safety and quality standards. Performs routine cleaning tasks, such as washing down machinery, sanitizing touch points, and disposing of waste. Follows all sanitation protocols, including the use of proper cleaning agents and personal protective equipment. Assists with operating equipment within production rooms, ensuring efficient operation and minimal downtime. Monitors production lines to ensure they are running smoothly and efficiently. Assists in setting up and breaking down equipment for different production runs. Maintains a clean and organized work area, ensuring that supplies are stocked and tools are properly stored. Supports production teams with additional tasks, such as packing, labeling, and palletizing products. Follows all food safety regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures. Reports any issues with equipment or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly. Participates in safety and sanitation training sessions.
