**Cleaning & Sanitation Technician** **Location:** Manassas, VA **Job Description:** We are seeking a Cleaning & Sanitation Technician for our client in Manassas, VA. This 3-month temp-to-hire position is vital in ensuring that production equipment and the facility are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition. The ideal candidate will follow Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP) and safety protocols while performing cleaning and sanitation duties. **Responsibilities:** + Clean and sanitize production machinery, equipment, and facility, including conveyor belts, screens, filters, kettles, pipes, walls, totes, and sanding/oiling drums. + Maintain overall facility housekeeping, including the plant exterior. + Safely handle and apply cleaning chemicals, following all safety precautions. + Efficiently dispose of waste and recycling. + Document cleaning and sanitation activities, ensuring accurate record-keeping. + Prioritize cleaning tasks to align with production schedules. + Use ATP bioluminescence devices to verify the effectiveness of cleaning. + Troubleshoot cleaning issues and implement solutions. + Adhere to GMP, SOP, SSOP, HACCP, and FQP standards. + Follow safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. + Participate in training programs to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness. + Perform other duties as assigned. **Qualifications & Experience:** + High school diploma or GED. + Previous experience in cleaning, sanitation, or similar roles preferred. **Skills:** + Ability to safely handle chemicals and follow detailed safety guidelines. + Proficient in reading and interpreting safety rules and procedural manuals. + Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. + Ability to prioritize tasks to meet production needs. **Work Environment:** + Exposure to cleaning chemicals, moving machinery, and production noise. + Regular physical activity, including standing, bending, lifting, and moving up to 40 lbs. (occasionally up to 1000 lbs. with assistance). **Position Details:** + **Pay Rate:** $20.90/hour + **Schedule:** 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, rotating shift (4 days on, 3 days off; 3 days on, 4 days off).
