**Job Posting: Sanitation Technician (Temp-to-Hire)** **Location:** Manassas, VA **Pay:** $20.90 per hour **Shift:** 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, 4 Days On/3 Days Off, Then 3 Days On/4 Days Off (Must be available to work any day of the week) **Position Type:** Onsite **Basic Function:** The Sanitation Technician will be responsible for completing the cleaning and sanitation of production equipment and the facility to maintain cleanliness and a sanitary environment. The position follows Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP) and Master Sanitation Schedules while working under the direction of Production Supervisors or designated Production Leads. **Key Responsibilities:** + Perform day-to-day cleaning and sanitation duties throughout the facility. + Clean and sanitize all production machinery and equipment, including conveyor belts, screens, filters, kettles, pipes, walls, totes, sanding/oiling drums, and tables. + Conduct facility housekeeping, including exterior cleaning, to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards. + Handle cleaning chemicals safely and follow proper safety precautions. + Remove and dispose of waste and recycling efficiently. + Document cleaning and sanitation activities in compliance with company standards. + Prioritize cleaning and sanitation tasks to support production schedules. + Use ATP bioluminescence devices to verify the effectiveness of cleaning and sanitation processes. + Troubleshoot and identify root causes of sanitation failures and implement solutions. + Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP), Food Safety Plan (HACCP), and Food Quality Plan (FQP). + Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. + Ensure all safety procedures are observed during sanitation activities. + Participate in training sessions to ensure compliance with job responsibilities. + Other duties as assigned. **Qualifications:** + **Education/Experience:** High school diploma or GED required; previous experience in sanitation or related fields is a plus. + **Math Ability:** Ability to perform basic math operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. + **Reasoning Ability:** Ability to solve practical problems and follow a variety of written or verbal instructions. + **Physical Demands:** Must be able to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds regularly, with occasional lifting of up to 1000 pounds. + **Work Environment:** Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and various production-related hazards.
