Join us as a Sanitation Lead
Under the direction of the Sanitation Supervisor, the Sanitation Lead is responsible for the cleaning and sanitizing of the plant, machines, and parts to always ensure sanitary conditions and in accordance with Novonesis’ standard operating procedures. In addition, the Sanitation Lead is responsible for maintaining the building and grounds in a good state of hygiene. This position has no direct reports, or people management.
In this role you'll make an impact by:
+ Managing the day-to-day implementation of the Master Sanitation Schedule and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures to achieve product safety and productivity requirements and to ensure compliance with regulatory and third-party certification requirements.
+ Monitoring the daily activities of staff, providing instruction and performance feedback to ensure food safety, compliance, and productivity requirements are met.
+ Identifying and resolving issues related to adherence to the Master Sanitation Schedule and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures.
+ Maintaining and improving upon the Master Sanitation Schedule and Sanitation Work instructions.
+ Providing initial and ongoing training as it relates to sanitation.
+ Inventorying and requisitioning most of the cleaning and sanitization supplies to ensure the materials are maintained and easily replenished.
+ Inspecting the facility to ensure the building structure is maintained in a good state of repair, including walls, floors, and ceilings of the facility.
+ Strictly adhering to and following all applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
+ Supporting the sanitation technician role as needed to ensure the cleaning throughout the facility meets standards.
+ Supporting the sanitation technician role and departmental staffing shortages as needed to ensure the cleaning throughout the facility meets standards.
+ Reviewing cleaning and sanitizing data and, when necessary, communicating the findings as well as generating possible corrective actions or activities.
+ Actively participating in site-specific teams, including but not limited to continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, six sigma, safety, and quality teams.
To succeed you must hold:
+ High school diploma minimum. Previous QC and GMP experience preferred, preferably in a dietary supplement or pharmaceutical environment.
+ 2+ years of relevant experience in an FDA-regulated or controlled manufacturing environment, preferably dietary supplements, pharmaceuticals, or food. Food safety and Sanitation experienced is preferred.
+ Good oral/written communication and math skills.
+ Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and procedures.
+ A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
+ Proven history of understanding industry safety standards and quality expectations.
+ Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
+ Self-motivated while working with minimal supervision.
+ Able to follow instructions and manage input from multiple sources.
+ Able to adapt to changing priorities.
+ Able to interact with multiple levels and various departments within the company professionally.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs periodically during shift
