Sanitation Lead - Sleepy Eye, MN

Position Overview & Responsibilities \n

This position is responsible to direct staff on rotating shifts to ensure all live haul equipment is washed and to ensure all trailers are run through the bio-dri, inspected, chipped and paneled in a timely manner in accordance with safety, quality and bio-security requirements to meet transportation deadlines.\n

Major Areas of Accountability\n\nDirect staff on shift to ensure efficiency, quality, bio-security and safety standards are met.\nAssist Manager with prioritizing and scheduling trailer wash activity and appropriate labor.\nTrain new employees and coach existing employees.\nAssist with washing and disinfecting of live haul and other equipment as needed.\nReport problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labor to Manager.\nIdentify and support continuous improvement efforts.\nComplete required documentation relating to business or regulatory requirements.\nAssist Manager to ensure execution of all wash functions as per SOP.\nResponsible for routine\/preventative facility tasks such as yard work, laundry and supply replenishment as needed.\nPerform light duty maintenance on the facility, equipment or trailers as needed and communicate any issues to the manager.\nCommunicate with team to ensure quality, safety, bio-security and deadline requirements are met.\nEnsure a successful bio-dri cycle on all washed trailers.\nInspect all washed trailers per SOP.\nBe able to read and understand weekly transportation schedule.\nProperly panel and chip all trailers per SOP and approved transportation guidelines.\nInform Manager of any supplies needed to complete job, including driver supplies.\nSafely drive spotter to retrieve washed trailers from the wash bays, take into bio dri and when complete park in clean parking lot.\nPerform and document an inspection on every trailer per the Christensen Farms guideline before parking the trailers in the clean trailer parking lot.\nSuggest, plan, and implement agreed upon process improvements and safety best practices.\nFunctions as a back up to the Manager including all required administrative tasks.\n\n
