**Aerotek is hiring for a Sanitation Supervisor in the Essex, MD area**
**Qualified candidates will perform the following:**
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sanitation Supervisor to oversee a department of five sanitation workers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining sanitation procedures and programs, ensuring compliance with GMP, HACCP, and Allergen programs, and supervising the sanitation team.
**Responsibilities**
+ Supervise a department of five sanitation workers.
+ Develop, implement, and maintain sanitation procedures and programs.
+ Create sanitation procedures for new equipment as needed.
+ Monitor adherence to sanitation program policies and procedures in the plant environment.
+ Ensure the cleaning regime is in place and adhered to.
+ Develop and implement sanitation SOPs and specific training for sanitation.
+ Manage the Master Sanitation Schedule and ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and Allergen programs.
+ Review sanitary design of equipment and procedures, and recommend changes as needed.
+ Track all sanitation activities on the Master Sanitation Scorecard.
+ Complete KPI reports for both internal and external review.
+ Monitor the use of chemicals, including conducting weekly inventory.
+ Prepare sanitizing solutions for use throughout the facility.
+ Monitor proper labeling and storage of chemical containers.
+ Test concentration levels of wash chemicals and sanitizers.
+ Follow all sanitation procedures and work instructions.
+ Supervise and lead the sanitation staff.
**Essential Skills**
+ 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
+ Experience with GMP, HACCP, and sanitation procedures.
+ Knowledge of food safety, production, and manufacturing.
+ Strong management and leadership skills.
+ Proficiency in developing and implementing SOPs.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Preferred AA or BA degree
+ Experience in janitorial duties and industrial cleaning.
+ Knowledge of FDA regulations and CGMP standards.

**Work Environment**
This role is based in a small manufacturing plant in Middle River, which is a climate-controlled and clean GMP environment due to the handling of food products and flavoring. The position offers two shift options: 1st Shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, and 2nd Shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
