Your Opportunity as the Sanitation Supervisor
Supervise sanitation personnel in the cleaning of the bakery. Plan and direct sanitation activities for a work shift. Ensure completion of essential job functions to maintain integrity of food safety program and product quality. Inspect, evaluate, and train sanitation personnel to ensure cleaning standards are met and prevent product contamination.
Location: 2035 N Narragansett Ave, Chicago, IL 60639 (Hostess Manufacturing Facility)
Work Arrangements: 100% on-site, 3rd Shift 9pm-6am (flexibility and weekends required)
In this Role You Will:
Plan and direct the activities of sanitation personnel during a work shift
Ensure cleaning standards are maintained and prevent product contamination
Conduct inspections and initiate corrective action as needed
Pest control application as needed
Ensure reports are properly maintained
Evaluate job performance of sanitation personnel and take corrective action as needed
Ensure proper training of sanitation personnel to follow work rules and procedures
Assist in the daily evaluation of product quality to ensure compliance with established standards
Ensure a safe operation in compliance with the corporate accident prevention program
Comply with all collective bargaining agreements to foster positive employee relations
Cooperate with engineering and production departments in the required maintenance of equipment and facilities
Perform other duties relating to the efficient operation of the bakery as assigned

What We are Looking For:
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
2 years of experience in a food or clean room manufacturing environment
Capable of teaching, training, and sharing technical knowledge to employees within operations.
Understanding of GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and safety protocols
Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:
Associate’s degree preferred but not required
1 year of leadership experience is preferred
Effective Oral and Written Communication
Computer knowledge specifically in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

This job operates in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment and manufacturing sites can be loud.
