Sanitation Supervisor

Actalent is currently hiring multiple openings for a sanitation supervisor role in a food manufacturing facility. This is a long term opportunity with lots of room for growth! This role requires you to have at least 3 years of sanitation supervisor expiernece in a food manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate would have their highschool diploma and at least 3 years of expiernece in a sanitation supervisor role in a food manufacturing facility.

These openings are on a 2nd Shift and will run Monday – Thursday 10pm – 8am and Thursday and Friday 11pm – 7am; Saturday and Sunday 7pm – 7am with OT

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Sanitation Supervisor to work within the policy guidance of the Sanitation Manager. This role involves coaching and coordinating the daily activities of the sanitation team, primarily responsible for the night shift weekend crew. The supervisor will provide consistent positive leadership to ensure quality sanitation standards are met safely and efficiently. The role also includes coordinating and inspecting plant cleaning to food plant standards, auditing safety and cleanliness, and handling confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

Coordinate teamwork efforts in sanitation to align with the production schedule.Interface with production, scheduling, warehouse, quality assurance, and maintenance to ensure efficient sanitation operations.Resolve sanitation problems as they arise, working closely with teammates.Coach and train teammates to understand their roles in plant sanitation and develop problem-solving skills.Accept responsibility for the entire plant facility in terms of security, safety, and food safety.Counsel, evaluate, and discipline teammates as needed.Attend meetings and professional seminars as required.Complete all paperwork necessary to meet regulatory cleaning requirements.Drive continuous improvement and reject complacency.Communicate with internal and external customers via telephone and email.Perform other duties as assigned

Additional Skills and Qualifications

Minimum of a high school diploma; bachelor's degree and SQF experience preferred.Minimum of 3 years of sanitation experience in a food plant environment.Clear communication skills in English, both verbal and written.Attention to detail and a hands-on approach.Ability to maintain sanitation standards under stressful conditions.Flexibility to work any required shift.Strong basic math skills and computer proficiency.Ability to work with allergens present in a food environment.Physical capability to perform tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting for extended periods.Strong teamwork and leadership skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $75000.00
