Job Description/ResponsibilitiesThe Sanitation Supervisor is food manufacturing facility sanitation subject matter expert. They direct the plant sanitation activities including all building, machinery, and parts cleaning. They develop and implement sanitation procedures, sanitation tracking and validation, and train employees about sanitation and cleaning techniques and safety. The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for the activities of sanitation personnel, managing inventory of sanitation supplies and cleaning chemicals, coordinating, and communicating sanitation activities across the facility, as well as monitoring GMPs, housekeeping and sanitation for the plant.
Develop, implement, and monitor plant housekeeping and sanitation procedures. Coordinate and monitor housekeeping and sanitation schedules. Perform daily audits of the facility, develop, and implement actions addressing deficiencies/gaps in processes. Train and educate employees on the importance of sanitation to foster a food safety culture. Manage the inventory of sanitation supplies and work with 3rd party cleaning contractors to ensure cleaning schedules are achieved and the quality of service meets expectations. Ensure the facility is always audit ready.Utilize the PDS system to continually improve skills through feedback and self-reflection to enhance performance. Strive to continuously develop self through personal and professional growth and attention to the position’s outcomes. Help drive the quality and food safety ownership across the plant. Each employee will understand the importance of housekeeping and sanitation in food manufacturing and know their responsibilities and own housekeeping and sanitation in their work area.Along with your manager, develop your career plan that will allow for progression toward your long-term objective. Identify training needs and design development plan, programs, and content for the purpose of preparing for career opportunities within the company. Provide feedback to your manager regarding on the job learning opportunities.Through our Quality Sanitation System and Good Manufacturing Practices, meet all the regulatory quality/food safety standards. Coordinate and guide team members across various departments to ensure proper execution of sanitation activities, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment, work areas, and other surfaces. Provide training and instruction to team members on proper sanitation practices, ensuring they understand and adhere to established standards.Develop and implement auditing to measure and track the Quality and Food Safety performance of BBK. These measurements will then be used to improve operations and continually improve quality by working with the various departments. Monitor & improve HACCP initiatives by completing audits of all areas of operation for compliance. Act as liaison for third party auditing & inspection teams, ensuring their needs are met, and facilitating requests for documentation, etc.Continue to improve our Sanitation, Housekeeping, and Quality/Food Safety System. Champion formalized problem-solving methods. Participate in and lead problem solving activities to standardize and improve processes. Partner with the production areas to identify key sanitation and housekeeping improvement areas and help drive process improvements. Share best practices across sites.Work with all departments to ensure GMP, Interplant and Internal Audit scores are trending in a positive direction. Assist departments with improving housekeeping and sanitation in their areas. Monitor sanitation schedules to ensure they are completed on time. Audit the facility to verify the quality of the work being done, address deficiencies/gaps and report scores/findings to Plant Leadership. Ensure the sanitation program is integrated into the Quality and Food Safety System. Participate and lead internal audits. Participate in external audits as the housekeeping and sanitation SME.Will ensure BBK complies with all the current regulatory and legal requirements for Quality and Food Safety. This includes our 3rd party customers and any proposed changes in the rules and regulations. Ensure sanitation validation procedures are in place and implemented.
Salary range - $70,768 - $88,460
