Sanitation Technician

We are hiring for a Sanitation Technician to help prepare and sanitize the equipment that creates our savory Duke's Meat Snacks products, and support the overnight Smokehouse Operator at our Macomb, MI manufacturing facility. You will report to a Team Leader of Sanitation and join a team of about 50.
Shift: This role is 3rd shift, 10pm-6:30am Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays based on business needs
Location: Located at 23 Mile Road and Hayes
Hourly Rate: $18 an hour plus $1 shift premium
Pay is weekly
You Will:
Support the cleanliness of our plant machinery and ensure standards are maintainedUse a high-pressure, high-temperature water hose and cleaning chemicals to facilitate the sanitation processHelp prepare production equipment for cleaning following Lockout Tagout proceduresSupport overnight Smokehouse Operators by moving trucks, loading/unloading ovens, taking meat temperatures, etc.Use a computer to support continuous improvement projectsComplete projects independentlyParticipate on a Safety TeamYou Have:
1 or more years of manufacturing or sanitation experienceA proven track record of completing workload with little supervisionKnowledge of plant safety and waste disposal methodsExperience using Microsoft Word and Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets)The ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time#LI-OnSite
