A Day in the Life:
Sanitation employees are responsible for cleaning buildings and process areas. Assist and follow up on environmental testing, i.e., swabs from the lab. Promote plant GMP’s & Food Safety thru ensuring sanitary conditions are met.
Position Details:
This position works a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, including nights & weekends. Will also include overtime hours.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Required to adhere to all safety and GMP requirements as set forth in plant policies. Responsible to follow all department procedures. Trained and tested on the plant’s contractor training rules. Filling the GMP supplies (footies, hairnets, beard nets.) Checking on the Environmental Monitoring Program from the lab swabs. They then go out and re-clean the area and call the lab to re-swab 3 times to be clean again, Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming all areas to keep the building clean at all times. Load up trash and cardboard into a truck and take it to the back of the plant to the proper containers to have it leave the plant. Required to keep up with the Master Sanitation List and sign off on jobs completed. Train & pass test on the fork-lifts and scissor lifts.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED preferred Ability to work safely and follow all safety rules and policies Experience in Good Manufacturing Practices preferred Ability to operate various types of machinery, required Ability to take direction and work as a team required Good attendance and reliability are critical Good communication skills
