As a Sanitation Worker reporting to the Sanitation Supervisor, you will play a vital role in the success of our product by contributing daily to the overall cleanliness and sanitation of our facility and equipment. The staff member will be informed of their role in monitoring activities to meet regulatory requirements for food safety and will be made aware of their responsibility to report food safety issues to personnel with the authority to take corrective action. Champion safety protocols, creating a secure and safe workplace. Promptly report incidents to protect our team. Serve as the vital link between equipment and management, providing updates that prevent disruptions and ensure smooth plant operations. Handle and dilute chemicals safely, with meticulous attention to detail and care, contributing to a pristine and hygienic work environment. Learn and master the organization’s chemical color-coding system, enhancing order and efficiency in our daily operations. What we require: What we require: A minimum 6 months of experience in manufacturing sanitation or equipment cleaning. Proficient in operating a pallet jack and forklift. Capable of operating a scissor lift and working at required heights. Strong teamwork skills and effective communication abilities. Ability to speak, read, understand, and follow instructions in English. Competent in understanding simple instructions, labels, checklists, short correspondence, and memos. Skilled in writing simple correspondence or memos and presenting information effectively in one-on-one or small group settings with co-workers and supervisors. Physical demands and work environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to: Stand for approximately 8 hours within a designated 2-foot radius. Continuously lift items weighing 30+ pounds. Push and pull objects, including occasional use of a pallet jack. Operate a scissor lift and work at required heights. Work in environments with varying temperatures, including a freezer (-10°F), a cooler (40°F), and an oven room/area (99°F). Work in a moderately high noise environment (PPE provided). Handle and work with chemicals (PPE provided). Work in proximity to or directly with trash and food waste. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is: Susceptible to common allergens present in our bakery facilities associated with the production of our World Class cakes and desserts. Some of these allergens are Milk, Eggs, Wheat, Tree nut, Peanut, and Coconut.
