What You Will Achieve

You will help Pfizer SAP ERP build and support its information technology solutions. You will leverage your technical skills to design, develop, implement support, and maintain solutions which satisfy the short term or long terms needs of Pfizer. You will work on systems architecture and application infrastructure to deliver results.  As a Senior Manager, your advanced knowledge of the principles and concepts in the SAP BASIS discipline and comprehensive knowledge of other disciplines will enable you to maintain Global SAP solutions and support future business initiatives. 

In this position you will participate in the day to day BASIS support of Pfizer’s SAP systems.  This includes workday hours support as well as on call/after-hours responsibilities.  The SAP Basis tasks include,  applying OSS notes, migrating changes through the system landscapes, researching technical issues through searching SAP’s Service Marketplace, performing daily system health checks, and applying system support packs.

As administrator the candidate will address both operational and projects activities.

How You Will Achieve It

Apply advanced knowledge of the principles, concepts and theories  of SAP Basis administration and SAP system monitoring.Apply comprehensive knowledge of principles and concepts in other SAP disciplines.Take appropriate risks to advance innovative processes and methodologies based on comprehensive business and technical knowledge.Work independently or on small teams using knowledge and work experience to achieve desired results.Work may be indirectly reviewed through consultation and agreement with others, rather than by formal review with supervisor.Interpret internal/external business challenges and best practices and recommend improvements to products, processes or services.Develop ideas and work with other Solutions Delivery and Technical teams to identify opportunities for technology alignment, efficiency gains and process improvements.Drive process improvements to improve resiliency, efficiency and accuracy of SAP Basis operations.Communicate technical design, business processes and strategy to functional and technical teams as required.Ensure that customer expectations have been met through delivery of services or projects.Communicate project status, milestones and issues to project stakeholders and sponsors.Manage / mitigate risk by working with the functional and technical teams to resolve conflicts and remove impediments.Make decisions within general business line, functional lines and technical lines.

Qualifications

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field10 years of SAP BASIS Administration experienceAdvanced knowledge of SAP ABAP and Java system administration, including patching and upgrades.Advanced knowledge of SAP HANA database systemsDeep understanding of systems and information architectureKnowledge and experience working on global enterprise systemsKnowledge and experience working with API’sAbility to contribute to the development and delivery of technology roadmaps aligned to Pfizer Digital strategiesStrong analytical and problem resolution skillsStrong communication and presentation skillsFluency in EnglishStrong interpersonal skills and experience working within a team environment across business functions to influence a desired outcomeGood stakeholder relationship management skillsInnovative mindset with strong delivery-oriented valuesStrong knowledge of SharePoint, Teams, Microsoft Office SuiteWillingness to work nights and weekends to implement systemic changes with a minimum of impact to business operations.
