SAP Functional Lead FICO

 

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and driven SAP Functional Leader with expertise in Finance and Controlling (FICO) to join our team in Chennai, India. This role focuses on supporting and enhancing global SAP FICO processes, with a strong emphasis on cross-functional collaboration, compliance with international financial standards, and adaptability to a dynamic work environment.  This position will interact and collaborate closely with the SAP FICO Lead in the US for alignment of the Global design and Architecture from an SAP FICO perspective.

 

Key Responsibilities:

•    Global SAP FICO Leadership: Lead SAP FICO functions locally while contributing to global strategies, ensuring alignment with financial processes and standards.
•    Project Implementation: Execute SAP FICO projects for regional and global initiatives, ensuring timely and efficient delivery within budget.
•    Business Process Optimization: Analyze and optimize financial processes to improve efficiency and accuracy through SAP FICO capabilities.
•    System Support and Configuration: Configure and maintain SAP FICO modules, ensuring compliance with local and global business requirements.
•    Cross-Functional Integration: Collaborate with other SAP module teams and IT functions to implement cohesive ERP solutions.
•    Training and Support: Facilitate training programs for local users and provide ongoing support for SAP FICO-related inquiries.
•    Compliance and Best Practices: Maintain adherence to global financial regulations and best practices in SAP FICO usage and data governance.
•    Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including regional and global leaders, to support business objectives.

 

Work Schedule

•    Be available for a shifting work environment to ensure support coverage during 24x5 operations throughout the week.
•    Participate in on-call weekend schedules at least once a month to provide critical support as needed.
•    Work Schedule will be subject to change from time to time with regards to operational requirements.


Required Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
•    At least 7 years of experience in SAP FICO, with a proven track record in a leadership role managing global SAP environments.
•    In-depth knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and compliance standards.
•    Experience in managing large-scale SAP projects and cross-functional teams.
•    Experience in Merger and Acquisitions, Carve Out and Financial Calendar change is a must.


Preferred Skills:
•    Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
•    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
•    Proficient in change management and process optimization.
•    SAP FICO certification is highly desirable.
•    SAP S4 HANA Implementation and Support Experience a Plus.
