SAP PP Functional Lead

Material Management Platform is multi-year modernization initiative aimed at transforming Ford’s Material Requirement Planning & Inventory Management capabilities to modern ecosystem. This is part of a larger Industrial Systems IT Transformation effort. This position responsibility of S/4 HANA Functional Lead within Production Planning module. This is a hybrid position, and the SAP PP Functional Lead will play integral role in leading the design, configurations, implementation, and different aspects of the end-to-end delivery. Work with large cross-functional team, Systems Integrator, manufacturing business subject matter experts, and IT leads from numerous integrating systems.
This is a hybrid position and will collaborate with colleagues and teams in our Dearborn, MI office.
**Responsibilities**
+ Understand the current business process across all regions / plants for Material Requirements Planning.
+ Lead discussion with various stakeholders to study the transformation of current process / legacy systems to Industry best standards / technology/ systems focusing on the SAP Production Planning module.
+ Lead and perform Requirements Gathering, Business Analysis, and Fit-Gap/ Fit-to-Standard Analysis to understand the as-is/to-be states and identify key functionalities /process gaps.
+ Recommend possible technology / process solutions to address gaps.
+ Support user acceptant testing, cutover activities, data migration, and Post Go-Live support.
+ Configuration and Customizing S/4 HANA Production Planning.
+ Strong knowledge on Automotive Variant Configuration, MRP strategies,
+ Knowing how the Product Data Structure (PDS) setup within S4 HANA and ePPDS,
+ Strong knowledge on integrations of Engineering Change Management (ECN) and Variant Configuration in Production Planning.
+ Knowledge how the Demand flow from upstream system to drive the MRP and Capacity utilizations.
+ Establish MES integration with S4 HANA for Planned Orders, REM backflushing, and Production Confirmation.
+ Working closely with management to prioritize business goals and information needs.
+ Stay current on SAP trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
**Qualifications**
+ Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, information technology or a technology related field
+ Minimum 13+ years of functional experience in SAP Production Planning Module.
+ Hands-on experience in configurations, and design PP functionalities with demand driven MRP Live, Planned Orders, Production Scheduling, Capacity Planning, Production Execution.
+ Strong knowledge on material requirements based on demand sales orders, forecasts, production plans and sequencing,
+ Strong knowledge on Configurable Materials, Calendars,
+ Capacity Planning: Experience with designing solutions to determine and optimize the capacity requirements for production processes, helping to balance workload and ensure efficient resource utilization.
+ Strong knowledge on PP Master Data: Material Master, Configurable Materials, Assembly and Manufacturing BOM, Work Centers, Routing, Class, Characteristics and Dependencies.
+ Overall knowledge of end-to-end SAP Implementation explore, designing, system integration testing, UAT, and post Go-live support.
+ Strong knowledge on planning processes Make-to-Stock, Make-to-Order, Configure-to-Order.
+ Experience in Automotive / Manufacturing industry.
+ Experienced in at least 2 full life cycle of S/4 HANA and Fiori implementation.

+ Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
+ SAP PP integration with other modules MM, IM, QM, Controlling
+ Experience in integrating with upstream/downstream systems like PLM, MDM, Order fulfillment, Constraints, etc…
+ ABAP debugging experience.
+ SAP Production Planning authorization concept
+ Strong project management skills using JIRA with effective communication and collaboration.
+ Knowledge and practical experience of agile delivery
+ Support in an onshore/offshore model.
+ Demonstrated ability to deliver product roadmap milestones.
