Job Description This position will be responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and designing solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity within AbbVie’s processes in the SAP areas of Record of Report, Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay and Manufacturing. Ensure high quality solutions are designed and built that meet current and anticipated business needs. Responsibilities include partnering with functional architects and project management, providing guidance to offshore developers, driving effective issue management and effective communication with key stakeholders. The candidate will be responsible for evaluating alternatives to satisfy functional needs and providing estimates. Responsibilities: + Works closely with Process teams to understand business requirements and scope and to transform business system designs into bug-free application software. + Creates technical designs, program code and unit test based on functional requirements, adhering to development, testing and documentation standards. + Apply experience and knowledge of different development options to evaluate alternatives and determine the optimal technical roadmaps and solutions for business requirements. + Understand AbbVie’s SAP development framework, application architecture and technical architecture to create solutions that fit into the overall system landscape. + Look and find performance optimization opportunities and redesign applications using code pushdown and new ABAP syntaxes. + Develop programs with consideration of clean core and cloud ready approach for future compatible using new SAP ABAP tools and technologies. + Displays an understanding of debugging techniques. Debugs code in technical area of expertise for functional and performance issues. + Utilizing SAP’s new BTP capabilities for business use cases and present it to leadership team to build application road maps. + Available for critical issues during non-working hours as documented in team support schedule. Qualifications Required: + Bachelor's Degree with 9 years’ experience; Master's Degree with 8 years’ experience; PhD with 4 years’ experience. + Requires in-depth knowledge of systems development life cycle and infrastructure operational support requirements. + Proven ability to engineer solutions with a history of improved technology solutions with remarkable impact on company productivity. + Interact well with diverse groups within function and maintain strong working relationships with partners. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Agile methodologies, scrum and kanban framework experiences Preferred: + Knowledge of SAP Fiori design principles, tools, and application development. + Work experience in the pharma industry. + Core S4 HANA process area (OTC, SCE, MFG, GTS, PTP and RTR) knowledge. + Exposure to BTP + SAP new extension methodologies + SAP Associate Developer certification Additional Information Applicable only to applicants applying to a position in any location with pay disclosure requirements under state or local law: ​ + The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position.
