JOB PURPOSE

The SAP PRODUCTION SPECIALIST will provide support for SAP system and process questions and complete moderately complex reporting. You will hold a key role in supporting and tracking plant performance versus SAP standards through the combination of multiple activities in the SAP production reporting space related to plant information and controls. In this role, you will support and streamline information flows between production, logistics and finance to provide relevant and insightful information to production management, plant controllers, costing analysts and the C.I. team. You will maximize SAP effectiveness and support the MSC function on SAP related questions, processes and reporting.

TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Tracking plant performance and adherence to production standards (BOM): Prepare production variance reports from SAP using Power BI and Excel.Prepare necessary information for the production variance meetings and follow-up of improvement actions.Perform periodic mass balance for yield calculations.Gather and analyse production data to perform BOM accuracy reviews and develop improvement proposals.Initiate MOC to create or modify BOM as needed.Update KPI dashboards to support the identification of improvement actions.

Inventory Control

Collect actual stock data, review tank movements and conduct short investigations for the monthly inventory adjustment meeting.Track and follow-up improvement actions.Correct tank inventory and negative stocks at month-end closure.Make the inventory adjustments report for sign-off by Plant Manager.

Process order review

Daily monitoring of process order varianceLiaise with operators and shift managers or the logistics team manager to address errors and implement preventive measures. Escalate to production management if necessary.Check and correct order status at month-end closure.Investigate process orders variance and share results with costing specialist and production management.

Issues management & Continuous Improvement

Provide instruction and training and create job aids to production, logistics, supply chain and procurement teams on SAP bookings.Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.Collaborate with CI team to identify and act on improvement opportunities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experienceMinimum of two years of related work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with SAP data analysis of transactions related to production and product costing.Understanding of operational excellence approache
