This position is supporting the Continuing Disability Review (CDR) process with SSA. Congress mandates that a specific number of CDRs have to be completed annually to ensure the disability beneficiaries should continue to receive benefits. The qualified candidate will maintain existing SAS programs and develop new programs that are used in developing the selection files that are used in the CDR process annually. They will work closely with a statistician that creates statistical models.  

 

Skills Requirements:

 

The candidate should have the following skills:

 

Proficient in SAS and SAS macros.

Experience with PC and mainframe SAS.

The ability to FTP files between the PC and mainframe.

Understanding of statistics with the ability to perform complex data analysis.

 

Knowledge of the following:

 

a)     sample size estimation

b)     scoring of data

c)     logistic regression

d)     survey research, survey samples, and survey weights

e)     data mining

f)      text mining

 

Experience with large data structures (millions of records).

Ability to execute, test and validate statistical models written by statisticians.

Provides enterprise-level information technology recommendations and solutions in support of customer requirements.

Completes timely and accurate weekly required status reporting and completes time card reporting and all other requirements.

Demonstrated experience with planning, organizing and conducting. Requirements gathering efforts.

Ability to communicate verbally and in writing (including e-mail) at a professional level and to distill complex technical data to a layperson's understanding with conciseness, clarity, and accuracy. Ability to organize complex concepts in written or presentation formats.

Ability to work professionally, proficiently, and effectively in diverse groups comprised of widely ranging personality types.

Experience working as a government contractor.

Experience working in a fast paced environment with multiple fast changing priorities.

 

Candidates must have a BS degree with a minimum of 11years work experience
