Satellite Systems Engineer - Clearance Required

Description:The Double Eagle program in Aurora, Colorado is looking for a Satellite Systems Engineer. You will join a dedicated and high performing group of Satellite Systems Engineers focused on analyzing and optimizing mission parameters, capabilities, and operations.

As a Vehicle Engineer, you’ll:
• Support global missions and work on global systems
• Develop and continually refine software tools to extract / interpret data, perform trending analysis on system hardware and software, and work under minimal supervision to resolve unexpected software / hardware issues independently and/or with a team of experts when needed.
• Act as a program authority and spokesperson for subsystem related issues and coordinate/collaborate directly with numerous program teams
• Participate in and/or lead working groups and make presentations/recommendations to customers and the leadership team on detailed technical aspects of the system

This position requires a TS/SCI w/ Poly. While the role requires already having an active TS/SCI clearance, the program will help you obtain a Counterintelligence Polygraph prior to start, if needed. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information, including US Citizenship. This position requires successful completion of a certification program and may require you to be on call on a 24/7 rotational basis.
Basic Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Satellite systems and functionality

• Active TS/SCI Clearance

• Adjudicated Counterintelligence Polygraph or ability to acquire one prior to start
Desired Skills:
• Experience and ability to communicate directly with customers while maintaining composure and professionalism on complex issues, supporting manager and team perspective on a variety of issues

• Experience and ability to translate thoughts and ideas into effective communication in a variety of formats

• Experience and ability to perform detailed work with speed and accuracy

• Demonstrated ability to develop effective customer relationships and work with senior technical management

• Proficient in Windows or Linux operation

• Experience in conducting technical investigations and providing results to leadership team

• Scripting experience (UNIX/LINUX, MATLAB, PERL, C# and/or JAVA, Javascript, Python)

• Web development experience

• Ability to learn and troubleshoot complex systems

• Experience with Guidance, Navigation, and Control Systems and Orbit Analysis

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $67,400 - $129,300. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
