Job Title: Satellite Electrical Power Systems Engineer

18+ month contract. This position has potential to go permanent if willing to relocate/already reside in Montreal, CAN.

Job Description

Provide Satellite and Payloads Architecture for Electrical Power design and EMC, including bus power sizing, definition, performance analysis, implementation, and validation in support of the Satellite System Engineering Team. Tasks include complete electrical, EMC, and harness design, verification and validation of electrical and power architecture, satellite bus power sizing suitable to particular missions, and definition of power systems from solar arrays to battery. You will support mission analysis & requirements, define, analyze, and write requirements definition, SOC, verification and validation matrix, design description, systems budgets, equipment specifications, and test requirements for the power sub-systems based on mission requirements.

Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering in relevant field with 5+ years of relevant experience with a Masters or 7+ years with a bachelors.Previous design and test experience with LEO/MEO/GEO satellites and Power sub-systems. NOT GROUND STATION SATELLITESStrong understanding of aerospace systems and engineering fundamentals.Demonstrated capability to test systems and resolve problems.Willing to do international travel 20% of the year. Can include Canada, Sweden, and France. Must be U.S Citizen or Canadian Citizen

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $95.00/hr.
