Satellite Technician III (CLC 52)

Our work depends on SATCOM IIIs joining our team to apply Lead level “hands on” work experience in support of installations, repair, and troubleshooting or maintenance of communications systems or equipment.
HOW A Satellite Technician III WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
● Responsible for the design and development of voice, video, radio frequency, and/or data communications networks
● Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks
● Supports the design and build of hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks
● Creates plans and configures systems for data communication networks
● Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
● Required Experience: 2+ years of related experience
● Required Technical Skills: Personnel in this labor category are considered experts in the field. Lead level experience working with DSCS or Commercial Satellite Terminals as specified in the task order to include:
• X, C, KA, Ku-band, Tri-band Satellite Terminals
• FDMA, TDMA, IP Type satellite modems
● Security Clearance Level: SECRET
● Required Skills and Abilities: Must have the technical knowledge to solve complex problems, understand the interrelationships of circuits, and be able to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of communications systems or equipment.

Satellite Technician III (CLC 52)
Must meet the certification requirement on the SPIN-C or individual task order.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
Lead level “hands on” work experience in support of installations, repair, and troubleshooting or maintenance of communications systems or equipment. Must have the technical knowledge to solve complex problems, understand the interrelationships of circuits, and be able to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of communications systems or equipment.
Experience, to include: supervision, and shop practices.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Personnel in this labor category are considered experts in the field. Lead level experience working with DSCS or Commercial Satellite Terminals as specified in the task order to include:
• X, C, KA, Ku-band, Tri-band Satellite Terminals
• FDMA, TDMA, IP Type satellite modems
The likely hourly rate for this position is between $33.30 - $0.00. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location.
