THE JOB We are seeking to add a key member to the Finance group. As their Controller, you will work closely with a team of six, as well as the investment and operations teams within the firm. + As the Controller, you should be well-versed in the full lifecycle of the fund, from initial capital deployments to successful exits and distributions to investors and the management company. + The firm conducts all accounting in-house, which presents challenges but also opportunities. We are seeking someone who is systems-savvy and an efficiency operator. + Valuation may also be part of your responsibilities—you will have an opportunity to partner with portfolio analytics and the investment team. Prior valuation experience is not required. + The finance team is relatively new but is composed of exceptional individuals with proven track records of success, skill, and adaptability. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; a Master’s degree or CPA is a plus. + 10+ years of experience in public accounting & private accounting, or fund administration services with a focus on investment partnerships. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general accounting software; experience with tools such as Efront/Einvest and Investment Café is a plus. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Possess a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and team mentorship. + Problem-solving mindset paired with a curiosity to learn and grow. + Ability to manage multiple priorities and complete projects in a timely manner.
