**Job Title: Saw Operator** **Job Description** The position of Saw Operator is to cut any and all parts for fabrication. This includes HSS tube steel, P40 round material, Flatbar, Plate, Angle, and Diamond plate. Saw Operators must be able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including hot, cold, windy, and rainy situations. Saw Operators must work efficiently to meet fabrication deadlines and keep track of and fill out documentation related to cutting operations. The role also requires operating an office scanner for record-keeping purposes. Other duties may be assigned as needed. **Hard Skills** + Read a tape measure accurately to 1/16th of an inch + Read shop prints, including hole size and material thickness + Layout parts accurately + Correctly identify parts for a project + Read, understand, and follow cut lists + Supply basic tools (framing square, tape measure, hammer, center punch, and other hand tools) + Operate an office scanner + Lift 50 lbs. with assistance **Job Type** This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 5 Month(s). **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in Albuquerque, New Mexico. **Work Environment** Structural steel/fabrication shop that makes architectural pieces such as stairs and rails for buildings, hospitals, universities, and stadiums. **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
